    Mommy’s Time Out

    Sponsored by VLCC

    Summer is here!

I felt it as soon as I stepped outside the car at the bus stop to pick up my son. The air was crisp with a heat onslaught that was non-existent just last week. As I watched the cars zoom by and the sun poking down my back, I touched my parched, dehydrated skin and tried to re-collect when I had some serious self-indulgence!

Between the endless office meetings, running to bus-stops, shuttling between two kids, I had forgotten about ‘me.’

Soon enough I regained my composure, and here’s how: a little self-indulgence.

I got a great opportunity thanks to World Of Moms.  In collaboration with them, VLCC has been a great partner and had sponsored an afternoon of indulgence and pampering: something that an over-worked, heat-stricken mom really needed. A break. A great facial. A huge amount of looking and feeling beautiful.

I almost cancelled a few times (you can all understand how it goes with moms)! I’m extremely glad I didn’t! Somewhere deep down I knew I needed this one hour of indulgence. A chance to think about myself. A chance to be pampered by the best name in the Indian Beauty And Wellness Industry!

So back to the facial.  After a thorough inspection of my skin type, I was recommended a  wonderful hydrating facial from their newly launched and extremely exquisite Bellewave Essencious range of professional products.

    So how was it?
    It was amaaaaazinggg!

A beautiful room engulfed with the aromatic fragrances of lemon grass and decked in gorgeous orchid flowers welcomed me. It was spacious and the lighting was dimmed to created the ambience. Thankfully, the size of the room was big enough to accommodate us both! ( I hate those small ones where you have to hold your breath while you squeeze through!)
Once the facial began, I began to lose the anxiety about the kids I left at home and began relaxing with the Bellewave Hydrating Facial.  My aesthetician was great and she really knew her job well. I told her again about my skin type and what I hoped this facial would do.  This wonderful facial was able to solve a few skin issues that I was dealing with.  By the end of it my skin felt supremely hydrated, the redness had reduced considerably and I felt great! I left VLCC with skin that was glowing!!

While the mask was drying she massaged my feet and hands. I nearly wept with joy, it was so unexpected but SO needed after the week I had had that week.

Here’s why I would recommend VLCC to all of you who are looking to feel spoiled and refuelled for the long haul.

If you are going to take the trouble of getting out of your moms-clothes and going for a facial, this has to be the place to go. As the days following the facial passed, I noticed that my skin continued to improve every day. I have also become more committed to cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating her skin on a more frequent basis. VLCC also has products for all different types of skin and it’s seriously the hottest thing around – plus you can actually have trained staff and dermatologists (on appointment) to advice and guide you on what treatment/service would suit your skin type.
VLCC is nationwide in most large cities. If it’s in your city, you can just Google it up.

    About Me

Before I became a mom I had dedicated myself to being an Educator. As a teacher I always counselled parents on the battles that went on in their lives as mothers. Once a mother, these battles raged within me. Having said this, I also sensed that mothers around me are always in conflict within themselves.
