DIY: Fun With Sensory Tub Of Orbeez And Much More

For the Love of Squishy Orbeez!

We Love DIY’s in my family!! After a long summer break, the kids are back to school.

While I’m totally getting them back in the groove,  I have to admit, I’m having a little bit of a headache keeping them away from the screen.

My older one has spent quite some time on the screen in summer watching Toy Reviews, DIY’s, immersing himself in the opening of Kinder Egg surprises and then, Orbeez!!

Wondering what these are? Ha, well I was at one time too!! After seeing some kid on YouTube having a fantastic time with these, we got  a few in our house too.
They are super absorbent polymers! That’s for those who want the science.  OK, to me they are these tiny little gel type things that when you put them in water they grow to about 100 times their original size and become bouncy squishy balls of fun.

A tubful of Orbeez has successfully managed to keep my kids miles away from TV!! It’s almost over a week since we’ve got them into the house, and nope, the fascination for Orbeez hasn’t diminished.

It’s reached a stage now where the Orbeez are being improvised upon to enhance their use to an entirely new level.

I remember orbeez. We you to fill our water bowl and keep it to table. But with children we must keep a constant watch as this may be choking sometimes. I loved the colourful pictures.

This is so cool! Had never heard of these… Where did you buy them? And they’re safe? These will definitely keep Karma busy!

      • Motheropedia Reply July 1, 2017 at 11:34 pm

Amazon has them. We however, found them at a local store. They are safe to play with. Ofcourse, non-edible! Make sure you are around her when she plays.

    • Charu Sareen Gujjal Reply June 30, 2017 at 12:50 pm

This looks fun. We had a small pack of this at home too but then I had to get away with them as my kids still mouth their toys. I was very apprehensive to use them.

      • Motheropedia Reply July 1, 2017 at 11:36 pm

If they are popping things in their mouths, then this is definitely not for them.

    About Me

Before I became a mom I had dedicated myself to being an Educator. As a teacher I always counselled parents on the battles that went on in their lives as mothers. Once a mother, these battles raged within me. Having said this, I also sensed that mothers around me are always in conflict within themselves.
